Adam Fan Releases ‘SKYFALL’: His First English Album Takes His Music Global
Chinese superstar Adam Fan, also known as Fan Chengcheng, has released his debut full-length English-language album, “SKYFALL,” marking a new step in his international music career.
The album arrived on Sept. 15, 2026, with an exclusive debut on NetEase Cloud Music. Alongside the album, Fan also released a music video for the focus track “Make It Make Sense.”
The project is designed to reach audiences beyond China, with Variety reporting that Hits Rhythm and Pacific Music Group have a distribution partnership for the album outside China.
Adam Fan’s ‘SKYFALL’ Has 10 Tracks
“SKYFALL” contains 10 tracks and moves across several modern rap and urban styles.
The album includes melodic rap, rage rap, trap and rock-infused rage rap, along with other urban and rap influences.
The tracklist includes:
- “SKYFALL”
- “CHANCES”
- “TTTM”
- “ERROR”
- “MAKE IT ROCK”
- “GO GIRL”
- “HEARD OF US”
- “MAKE IT MAKE SENSE”
- “PINK”
- One additional track whose title is not clearly identified in the available Variety text
According to the NetEase release, the album’s musical progression moves from late-night uncertainty, loneliness and introspection into a darker rage-rap sound before reaching more celebratory, trap-oriented tracks.
That progression reflects the different sides of Fan’s artistic direction on the project.
International Producers Worked on the Album
“SKYFALL” was produced by international music production company Hits Rhythm and A WW Productions.
The project brings together Western producers and Grammy-nominated talents whose previous work includes collaborations with major artists such as Drake, The Weeknd, Playboi Carti, Beyoncé, Yeat and Trippie Redd.
The title track “SKYFALL” was co-written with American artist Lawson.
Lawson’s songwriting credits include The Weeknd and Playboi Carti’s “Timeless.”
Fan and Lawson also jointly produced “SKYFALL.”
The album’s focus track, “Make It Make Sense,” was written and produced by Puku, whose credits include PARTYNEXTDOOR and Drake’s “Something About You.”
‘SKYFALL’ Reached No. 1 on Three NetEase Charts
Fan released “SKYFALL” as an advance single on Sept. 8, one week before the full album.
On its release day, the song reached No. 1 on three NetEase Cloud Music charts: the Rising Chart, Popular Recommendations Chart and Heartbeat Chart.
NetEase said the song had received more than 300,000 comments.
Musically, “SKYFALL” combines atmospheric, hazy melodies with a deeper rap-oriented sound.
Its lyrics explore Fan’s inner world, including the pressure behind success, personal struggles and loneliness.
NetEase presented the song as a shift for Fan from his background as a C-pop idol toward a more internationally oriented musical identity.
From ‘Idol Producer’ to Solo Music
Fan Chengcheng first gained widespread attention through the Chinese survival show “Idol Producer.”
He subsequently became a member of the boy group Nine Percent before beginning his solo music career.
His work has extended beyond music. Fan has also appeared in television dramas and variety programs, including “The Journey Across the Night” and “Keep Running.”
His combined following across various social media platforms in China and Asia is reported to exceed 100 million.
“SKYFALL” now represents another stage in that career, with Fan recording an entire full-length project in English for an international audience.

Fan has previously released music projects through NetEase Cloud Music.

Why NetEase Cloud Music Matters to ‘SKYFALL’
NetEase Cloud Music says it has more than 200 million monthly active users, with more than 90% of its active users born in the 1990s or 2000s.
The platform describes its large young music-fan community as an important audience for new-generation artists such as Fan.
NetEase Cloud Music and Fan have previously worked together on several EPs and albums.
For “SKYFALL,” Fan has associated the project with the color black.
He said the color represents his journey from late-night introspection toward a fresh start.
Fan also said he wants listeners to remain clear-headed and confident, while thanking NetEase Cloud Music for helping bring the album to more listeners.
Adam Fan Wants to Push His Creative Boundaries
Fan said he is excited to bring “SKYFALL” and its visual world to audiences around the world.
He described the album as connected to the music and creative direction he genuinely wanted to explore.
Fan said he wanted to challenge himself, break boundaries and push his creativity further.
He also expressed hope that his music would inspire listeners to discover new possibilities.
NetEase Expands Its Rap and Music Ecosystem
NetEase Cloud Music Vice President of Copyright Wei Yuan said the platform was pleased to partner with Adam Fan again.
Wei said NetEase has a large rap-music catalog and a substantial community of young rap fans.
He expressed hope that the platform could help create a more direct and deeper connection between Fan and music listeners.
NetEase has also continued expanding its licensed music catalog in 2026.
The platform has added classic film and television soundtracks from TVB, as well as officially licensed music from the Chinese-style martial arts game “JX3.”
It has also exclusively premiered new works from artists including Ren Jialun, also known as Allen Ren, and Mariah Carey.
For Chinese hip-hop, NetEase has launched the Chinese HIP-HOP Music Awards, alongside semiannual, monthly and weekly charts.
The company has also introduced BeatSoul, a one-stop beat marketplace, along with other initiatives focused on rap development.
With “SKYFALL,” Fan is now taking that existing relationship with NetEase into a broader international phase—using an English-language album to explore a new musical identity while reaching audiences beyond his established C-pop base.
