What Is Spotify’s Billions Club?
Spotify’s Billions Club is a collection and recognition program for songs that have reached at least 1 billion streams on the platform.
The program began as a Spotify playlist in 2020 and has since expanded into a broader celebration that includes artist plaques, videos and live events. Spotify said in April 2026 that its Billions Club had grown to more than 1,200 songs.
The physical plaque is therefore not a traditional music award such as a Grammy. Instead, it recognizes a major streaming achievement by an individual song.
Spotify has presented similar plaques to artists after their tracks crossed the billion-stream mark.
